TRADEMARK RENEWAL

Only for 10 years is registered as a trademark valid. It should then be renewed periodically. The renewal of trademarks retains the rights applicable to a registered trademark only. In the event that the applicant does not renew the trade mark, all rights inherent in a register shall be lost. The legal assumption of possession is for instance, a registered trademark. Which ensures that other parties have the presumption of evidence to try to dispute their possessions.

The term of validity of each licenced trade mark is 10 years and you will need to extend it after paying a corresponding registration fee if you continue to use it after 10 years. The extension of the trademark may be applied either for BEFORE 6 months or for AFTER 6 months from the date of expiry.

If a trademark registration request is not lodged along with the applicable charge, the Registrar shall notify the owner of the trademark of the renewal date by issuing a note at the designated address of operation. The note shall not be submitted more than 6 months before the registration expires. It should be remembered that the registrant can only revoke the trade mark after the proprietor has received such announcement.

In the case of marking renewal due, however the registration of the mark shall be made in any period within six months of renewal or renewal due date and if so, the registration of the mark must be renewed within six months from the effective registration date by payment of its specified renewal fee.
